Corcovado - Located on
the top of a mountain, at an altitude of 710 meters (2329
feet), the Christ Statue on the Corcovado is definitely one
of the most admired and visited monuments in the city. A tour
that begins in the Cosme Velho neighborhood, onboard a charming
little train, which before arriving at the Christ Statue,
traverses scenarios of a rare beauty and strong visual enchantment.
At its peak, what one sees is pure delight: Copacabana, Ipanema,
Leblon, the Botanical Gardens, the Horse Track, the Lagoon,
in short, Rio de Janeiro -- dazzling by day and illuminated
and magical by night. Always beneath the protection of the
Christ Statue, who from atop the Corcovado embraces and blesses
everyone that the city welcomes.

one can see the most beautiful views of Rio. A well-known
city postcard, visitors will first arrive by cable-car at
the Morro da Urca, where they will disembark to ride in a
second cable-car to their final destination. Several Rio and
Niterói beaches may be seen from the Sugar Loaf, in
addition to the dense vegetation of the Atlantic Forest and
various historical buildings, such as the Santa Cruz Fort
and the Fiscal Island.

Santa Cruz Fort - In
1555, the French Admiral Villegaignon installed an artillery
battery on the eastern land jut of the entrance to Guanabara
Bay due to its exceptional strategic location. And that's
how the Santa Cruz Fort was born, a construction made of granite, hand
carved and bound together with whale oil, lime, and ground
shellfish, dated 1870. The Saint Barbara Chapel, marble sundial,
prisons, the execution (shooting) wall are relics that remind
visitors of important historical moments.
